Under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde
Learning DifficultiesHere, you will find useful resources for children and young adults with special educational needs. At the moment most of our information is about Belgium, France and Luxembourg. Our aim is to gradually expand this section to include similar information about all Member States of the European Union. As far as Belgium is concerned we have tried to provide as much information as we can about facilities in each of the three official linguistic communities of Belgium - Dutch, French and German - as well as in the international English-speaking community. Eventually we hope to also include details of facilities for other (non English-speaking) expatriate groups. Where clear descriptions of resources already exist in other websites, we have simply provided a link, in order to avoid duplication of material. For the same reason, where such material is available in printed form, such as brochures, we have also provided details of where and how to obtain these. There already exists many excellent websites describing the various conditions giving rise to special educational needs and learning difficulties, with useful ideas for finding ways to help manage and overcome them. Again we have provided links, and would encourage you to refer to these. If you are aware of other useful resources in Belgium, or elsewhere, that we have not included, please contact us. Your suggestions and comments are also very welcome. |
